SHEILA CARNDUFF BA (HONS)

Born in Glasgow, Sheila is a graduate of the Leith School of Art and Edinburgh College of Art. She was the Chairman of the Fife Dunfermline Printmakers’ Workshop for seven years and is recognized for her work in raising the public and community level of knowledge in printmaking. She now lives with her engineer husband in Aberdour.

In an earlier period, Sheila lived with her family in a diversity of cultures within countries varying from Alaska to Arabia. The influence of travel in a variety of both western and eastern countries provides Sheila with sources of breadth and subtlety, and in printmaking she has found a progressive and interactive means for expressing concepts with image in her limited variable edition prints.

Sheila has shown her work in many group exhibitions including the National Print Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London, the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh with the Society of Scottish Artists, Yorozu Tetsugoro Museum, Towa, Japan, the Meffan Institute, Forfar, Angus and annually with the Fife Dunfermline Print Workshop.
