Clare Yarrington GALLERY Clare Yarrington MA (Hons) Archaeology BA (Hons) Fine Art Clare's drawings, prints and mixed media collages explore the landscape through the experience of rock climbing and walking. The work brings together two of Clare’s enduring interests as an artist: landscape and the human figure and is influenced by her earlier career as an archaeologist. “I am interested in how our environment has been formed and how we interact with it. This relationship is dynamic and involves not only the elemental forces of nature but also our perception of time. In the same way as the past is imperfectly preserved, so we remember our own experiences in fragments. How to visually express this is what fascinates me." Clare’s work has been exhibited throughout the UK and abroad and is held in both public and private collections.
